Objective: To investigate pregnancy outcome of patients with E-Beta thalasaemia Methods : This is a retrospective study of E-Beta thalasaemia patients with pregnancy who attended Haematology and Gynecology OPD of NRS Medical College, Kolkata during the period from January 2000 to.December 2006. A total of 48 patients were studied. The patients were diagnosed on the basis of clinical findings, HPLC and parenteral studies. The epidemiological profile, clinical course, and pregnancy outcome was analyzed and correlated with hemoglobin level. Results : 29 of them were primigravid mothers. 35 patients received blood transfusion regularly.
