Objective : To evaluate the effect of vitamin E and vitamin C supplementation in pre-eclampsia Method(s): vitamin E 400 lU/day and vitamin C 1000 mg/day were given to 50 normal pregnant Women and 70 pre- ecamptic women for one month. Lipid peroxidation product (MDA) and free radical scavenging enzyme activity (SOD) were measured before and after vitamins supplementation to evaluate the effectiveness of vitamins supplementation in pre- eclampsia. Results : In the pre-eclamptic women, MDA levels were significantly increased while SOD levels were significantly decreased compared to healthy pregnant women.
