Objectives : To assess the magnitude of the cervical cancer and its stage at diagnosis. Materials And Methods : A retrospective study was undertaken at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. AH patients diagnosed with cervical cancer, who presented to either the gynecology or radiotherapy department between January 2007 and June 2008 were included in the study. Oservat1ons : In this 18 month period, a total of 444 patients of cervical carcinoma were diagnosed and treated. The prevalence of Ca cervix amongst patients attending gynaecology O.P.D. and radiotherapy department was 0.65% and 13.13% respectively.
