Objectives : To emphasis that even in a rural set up timely intervention and management in pregnant women with complications of hypertension will improve the maternal outcome and fetal outcome. Material & Methods : This study has been undertaken in Herbertpur Christian hospital in OBG dept involving all pregnant patients with hypertension who was treated at this hospital from April 06 to march 08. Results And Conclusion : 255 cases out of 2221 deliveries in the last two years were found to have hypertensive disorders. 121 patients had gestational hypertension, 110 had preeclampsia, 15 had chronic hypertension and 9 patients presented with Eclampsia.
