Objective : To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of manual vacuum aspiration as a method of first trimester termination of pregnancy Material Method : This prospective study was carried out at Indira Gandhi Medical college, Nagpur from duration of July 2007 -Dec. 2007. 100 patients were included in the study of GA upto I2weeks after proper consent & counseling. Priming of cervix was done with misoprost 200mg per vaginally and at the same time intramuscular sedation was given, paracervical block was given to the patient and MTP was done with MVA Syringe. Results : There was success rate of 98%.
