From the abstract

Introduction : The management of high risk pregnancy has always been a difficult and challenging problem despite all the advances in art and science of obstetrics. Good antenatal services have to be backed up by a vigilant intrapartum monitoring for progress of labour and fetal condition. Admission test is a short electronic graphic record of fetal heart rate pattern on admission of the patient to labour ward. It can detect or triage patients either to intermittent auscultation or continuous monitoring. Aims and objectives : 1.To determine the sensitivity and specificity of admission test as a screening test to detect fetal distress in high risk pregnancy.
