Objective: To do a prospective study of patients in SRMC & Rl treated with LNG-IUS for menorrhagia. Materials and methods : The cases selected were woman belonging to25-52 years of age with complaints of menorrhagia. After a detailed history.physical and gynaecology examination and endometrial biopsy LNG-IUS is inserted after a proper counselling regarding the efficacy , benefits and its possible side effects. After insertion patients were asked to maintain menstrual chart with menstrual scoring. During each visit at 8 wks,6 months,! yr a clinical examination with TVS was done. Questions were asked regarding menstrual pattern, progesterone side effects.
