Objectives : Purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficiency and feasibility of hysterectomy by minilaparotomy in selected cases. Materials & Methods : Study was performed over a duration of 8 months during which 80 cases of DUB, fibroid uterus, adenomyosis, chronic cervicitis and post menopausal bleeding were taken for hysterectomy by mini laparotomy incision of 5 cm approximately. The main advantage of this technique is that it is minimally invasive and all the pedicles are ligated at the skin level and the bladder and bowel keep out of the field. The uterus can easily be pulled out of incision after tackling adenexae.
