Aims : To evaluate efficacy of vaginal hysterectomy in case of non-descent bulky utrei Materials and method : It is a prospective study of 68 cases of vaginal hysterectomy in cases of non- descent bulky, uteri at tertiary institute over a period of 2 years. Common indicating being adenomyosts, fibroids, patient with previous abdominal gurgenes etc. Result : The complication intraoperative bowel-bladder injuries, operative time, post-operative pain infections, hospital stay were minimal with beginal hysteretomy in such patients. Conclusion : Veginal hysterectomy is a mininmally invasive and the cost effective surgical treatment in cases of non-descent bulky uteri.
