Objective(s): To compare clinical, sonographical and laparotomy findings in pelvic masses and to know whether they are complementary or contributory to each other. Method: A comparative clinical study of 150 patients meeting the criteria were enrolled in the study. A detailed history was elicited and thorough clinical examination was done and then subjected to sonographic examination followed by laparotomy or laparoscopic procedures. Results: Fibroid uterus is the most common pelvic mass(47.3%) in the study followed by ovarian tumor(25.3%). The accuracy of clinical diagnosis is 62-95% and for sonography is 65-94%.
