Objectives : Patient in rural set up present with anemia which necessitates blood transfusion before surgery & require hysterectomy. Methods : This study has been undertaken in Herbertpur Christian hospital in OBG department for a period of 3 yrs-2005- 2008 Results & Conclusions : 50 cases of Fibroid uterus were studied out of which patients presented with milld anemia- 32 moderate- 8 severe - 10 out of which 10 required blood transfusion
