Objective : To study the correlation between incidence of congenital malformations and age and parity of mother and intake of folic acid in antepartum period. Material & Method : Study group of 50 mother was formed who delivered babies with some congenital malformation and were distributed according to their age, parity antepartum folic acid intake. Result: Incidence of congenital malformation was found to be 52% in age group 26-30 age, 36% between 20-25, 12% in above 30 & none in <20. In primipara 48%, para two 32% & para three 10%, para >4 4%. Conclusion : Congenital malformed babies were found to be more primiparous mother who belong to age group 26-30 yr.
