Objective: To study the role of saline contrast hysterosonography (SCHS) in evaluation of perimenopausal AUB and compare the findings with hysteroscopy. Method: A prospective study of SCHS was conducted in the department of gynecology, Lok Nayak Hospital in women with abnormal uterine bleeding, in the age group 40-52 years. After a baseline TVS, SCHS was performed .Each patient also underwent hysteroscopy and endometrial sampling in the same cycle. Findings of SCHS were compared with the gold standard of hysteroscopy for intra uterine pathology and histopathology for hyperplasia. Result: 40 patients participated in the study.
