Objective: To compare the efficacy of Clomiphene; Metformin; combination of Clomiphene & Metformin in causing ovulation' in women with PCOS Methods : This is a prospective randomized trial of PCOS patients who attended Gynecology OPD of NRS Medical College, Kolkata. during the period August 2008 to November 2008. A total of 42 patients were studied. PCOS was diagnosed on the basis of Rotterdam's criteria. The women were divided in 3 groups. Group I was given Clomiphene (50 mg from D5-D9); Group 11 was given Metformin (1500 mg); Group III was given Clomiphene & Metfortmin. Ovulation was detected by TVS USG.
