Objective : To assess the correlation of spot urinary calcium to creatinine ratio with the occurrence and severity of pre- eclampsia, by comparing this ratio between normal pregnant women and those with pregnancy induced hypertension. Methods : This is a prospective study conducted on 125 antenatal cases during their third trimester, 50 of them were normotensive and 75 had pregnancy induced hypertension. The estimation of urinary calcium to creatinine ratio was done by spectrophotometry method in laboratory.
