Aims And Objective : To study incidence of surgical site infection. To stuly predisposing factors associated with surgical site infection. Material And Methods : It is a retrospective study done over a period of I year from SEP 2007 to AUG 2008 in CAMA and ALBLESS Hospital GMC Murnbai undergoing major surgical procedure like LSCS and Total abdominal Hysterectomy. Demographic information and indication were recorded. Host related variable includes were BMI, parity, preoperative urinary tract infection, premature rupture of membrane, obesity, maternal preoperative condition, associated medical condition.
