Objective: To evaluate the outcome of vaginal hysterectomies (VH) for undescended uterus. Study Design & Setting: Retrospective study on patients operated in a tertiary corporate hospital in Bangalore, India Patients & Methods: Twenty-four female patients, who underwent VH with or without salpingooophorectomy for indications other than uterovaginal prolapse such as uterine fibroid or cervical fibroid, adenomyosis, dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB), chronic pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and post menopausal bleeding (excluding carcinomas) were included in the, study. Patients with previous caesarean section or abdomino-pelvic surgery were also posted for the procedure.
