Objective: This study was designed to determine the etiological diagnosis of RTI patients. These patients were also evaluated for cervical intraepithelial lesions by cytology, colposcopy and histopathology. Method: 500 married females between 18 to 65 years suffering from RTI were studied. After detailed history, general and physical examination, the vaginal secretion was examined for pH, wet smear, KOH mount, gram's staining and culture & sensitivity. The cervical smear was taken for pap's examination. Serological tests were performed for chlamydia, T.pallidium and HIV.Colposcopic evaluation was done in all the patients.
