Objectives : To compare and correlate mRNA PCR and DNA PCR in the diagnosis of genital tuberculosis in infertile women. Methods: Total 50 infertile patients with suspicion of genital tuberculosis and 20 controls (laparoscopic ligation) were enrolled. Investigations done included haemogram, erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR), mantoux, Chest X-Ray, semen analysis, Ultrasound pelvis, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy. Endometrial aspiration(EA) & peritoneal fluid(PF) was sent for histopathology(EA only), AFB smear, culture, DNA-PCR, mRNA-PCR. Results: The mean ages were 28.04 & 31 years in cases and controls.
