Objectives: To study the pattern of contraceptive usage and awareness about various methods of contraception in HIV positive women. Materials and methods : A descriptive study was conducted on 75 seropositive women attending ART clinic of Lok Nayak Hospital attached to Maulana Azad Medical College from January 2008. Data was obtained pertaining to reproductive and high risk behaviour, contraceptive usage, attitude towards control of fertility and knowledge of contraception. Results: Of the 75 women, 69% were between 30 to 40 years of age, 26% 21 to 30 years, and 4% were 40 years or more. 79% women had 2 or morg,- living children, 20% had I living issue and 0.1% were nulliparous.
