Introduction: Insertion of an intrauterine contraceptiNe device immediately after delivery is appealing for several reasons. The woman is not known to be pregnant, tier motivation for contraception is high and the setting is convenient for both the woman and tier provider. Aims, To assess the efficacV. &afely and reasibility of IUCD insertion immediately after the expulsion of placenta in women undergoing caesarean section. Material and Method: Women delivering by caesarean section were included in the study who were counseled during prenatal checkups for IUCD insertion. Women having anemia. infection (chorioaninionitis), prolonged leaking and obstructed labor were excluded from the Study.
