Objective : To study the prevalence and risk factors of HPV infection in sexually active females. Materials : It was a cross sectional study conducted in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital, Aligarh and at the Institute of Cytology and Preventive Oncology (ICMR), Noida. This study included sexually active women attending the gynaecology OPD and IPD of JNMCH with history of pain lower abdomen, abnormal vaginal discharge, post-coital or post menopausal bleeding, women attending OPD for other complaints. Informed consent was obtained from all participants and they were then subjected to a detailed history and examination.
