Objective : To compare the diagnostic accuracy of transvaginal sonography & saline infusion sonohysterography in abnormal uterine bleedig. Method(s) : This study has been done in 100 patients with abnormal uterine bleeding . All these women have been resorted to transvaginal sonography & saline infusion sonohysterography which has been followed by histopathological examination obtained either by endometrial biopsy or dilatation & curettage or hysterectomy. Result: 4 cases with normal findings on transvaginal sonography, detected endometrial polyp after infusion of saline into uterine cavity.
