Introduction: Drugs prescribed in early pregnancy can adversely affect the fetus in many ways. Anxiety about birth defects is a major parental concern during pregnancy. No drug is entirely safe and without sideeffects, especially in early pregnancy during organogenesis. Therefore, prescribing drugs during pregnancy should be sti-ictly evidence-based and only those drug whose benefit clearly outweighs the risks. Objective: The aim of this study was to gain knowledge about the early pregnancy prescribing pattern of obstetricians practicing in private or public sector in and around our city.
