Aims & Objectives : This study was carried out to evaluate maternal & perinatal outcome in eclampsia in Bokaro General Hospital, Bokaro. Methods : This is a retrospective study, conducted in Dept. of Obst. & Gynae, Bokaro General Hospital,Bokaro. All the cases of eclampsia admitted between the year August 2003 to August 2008 were included & critically analyzed. Observation & Result : Total number of deliveries during the period was 11257 & 72 cases were of ecalmpsia making incidence of 0.63%. Majority of patients were unbooked (83.3%). 81.9% of cases were primigravida between age group of 18-25 yrs.Eclampsia was antepartum in 81.9 %, intrapartum in 13.8% & postpartum in 4.1%.
