Aim: The present study was aimed to evaluate the advantage of modified ultra fast Pap staining (MUPS) over the conventional Pap technique. Material & Method: The work was carried Out in cervical smears of 100 women who were registered at Gynae OPD of Queen Mary Hospital of the University. Two smears were collected from each subject, one for MUPS and Other for POP) staining. The slide for MUPS was air dried while other for pap staining was immersed in 95% alcohol. The cervical biopsy was performed whenever indicated. Result: Cervical neoplasia was diagnosed in 39 cases. of these 27 had CIN 1. 10 had CIN II, and 2 had invasive neoplasia.
