Objective: To assess the health care services in rural area of India.To Judge the efficacy of these services in improvement of maternal health by studying Maternal mortality. To study various socioeconomic factors in rural area associated with maternal mortality rate. Methods : Present study was carried out in AVB Rural Hospital,JNMC Sawangi Wardha from 2003 to 2007. Case profiles of patients with maternal mortality from 2003 to 2007 were studied. Maternal mortality calculated. Various heal service programme were analysed.
