Introduction: The cases of ruptured uterus are mostly emergency admissions. Mortality are proportionate to delay in diagnosis, adequate transport facilities & availability of blood etc. Spontaneous ruptures are virtually always intrapartum and characteristically involve the lower segment. They are usually associated with risk factors such as CPD, macrosomic fetus, uterine abnormalities, grand multiparity & trauma to the uterus from prior instrumentation. Misuse of oxytocin and prostaglandin also leads to this catastrophe. We report a case of spontaneous uterine rupture which occurred at twenty six weeks gestations.
