This study was conducted by the ICMR-HRRC RC KEMH Mumbai under the auspices of the Social and Behavioural unit of the ICMR, the study was part of a multi centric study conducted simultaneously in 4 states. Objectives : 1.To gain an insight into the different types of care being provided and unmet needs of PLWHA and their caregivers as perceived by them. 2.To identify factors facilitating / inhibiting long-term care of PLWHA. Material and Methods: Data was collecte4 on pre-structured interview schedules .The government organizations including ART centres, NTOS and CBOS were identified through the internet and approached for permission to conduct interviews.
