Blind endotracheal intubation through supraglottic airways (SGA) is an area of considerable interest. Our study aimed at comparing the CobraPLA(CPLA) with the Fastrach LMA (ILMA) with regard to its performance as a conduit for facilitating blind endotracheal intubation. 60 ASA I-II patients were randomized into two groups. They were induced with propofol and fentanyl. Following paralysis with vecuronium, CPLA was inserted in Group1 and ILMA in Group2. After checking for adequate ventilation, a fibreoptic score of the laryngeal view was done through the SGAs.
