Anaesthesia in patients with muscular dystrophy has always been a challenge for the anaesthesiologist. We hereby, present a case report of a 16 years old male patient who was a diagnosed case of duchene’s muscular dystrophy and presented with acute pain abdomen, vomiting and fever. He was operated for emergency exploratory laparotomy for acute intestinal obstruction with septicemia. He was successfully managed and was shifted to intensive care unit for elective ventilation postoperative and then discharged after 7 days of ICU care.
