From the abstract

Vallecular cyst is an uncommon pathology in the larynx which may cause airway obstruction, and insertion of endotracheal tube during induction of general anaesthesia in such a case may prove to be difficult. A 42-years female was admitted to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal with complaints of dysphagia and hoarseness. She was diagnosed with vallecular cyst which appeared as a round swelling almost covering the laryngeal inlet. She was planned for excision of vallecular cyst under general anesthesia on the 12th August 2008. The patient was premedicated with Inj. glycopyrrolate 0.2mg i.m.
