Apart from idiopathic cause, the various other causes of seizures in pregnanacy includes antiphospholipid syndrome, eclapmsia, cerebral vein thrombosis, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, cerebral infarction, drung, alcohol withdrawl, and hypoglycemia. We report the perianaesthetic management of a pregnant female with eclampsia and epilepsy scheduled for emergency cesarean section. Case report: 41 year, 73 kg female with 34 weeks pregnancy, seizures and hypertension was referred to our institute from a peripheral hospital. On reviewing the history, she was a known case of epilepsy since 15 years and being managed on phenytoin and valproate.
