A 16 year old male patient presented to casualty with complaint of pain in throat with difficulty and pain on swallowing and with vomiting after every meal since two days. All symptoms had manifested after intake of meat. Patient was otherwise a healthy well built male adult with no chronic complaints. A provisional diagnosis of foreign body in esophagus was made by the ENT surgeon and emergent esophagoscopy was planned. Routine blood investigations were normal and chest x ray did not reveal any radio-opaque foreign body.
