The study aims to establish the effect of varying patient position during block performance, sitting versus lateral, on sensorimotor characteristics following epidural volume extension when used for elective caesarean section. Methodology: Thirty consenting ASA physical status I or II parturients with uncomplicated pregnancy scheduled for elective caesarean section under regional anaesthesia were randomly divided into two groups of 15 patients each. All patients received combined spinal epidural block using needle-through-needle technique.
