Objective : To study the effect of drug-Bupivacaine 0.125% versus Bupivacaine 0.0625%+FentanyI 2mcg/cc as labour epidural analgesia in terms of: PAIN SCORE, MOTOR BLOCKADE, ONSET OF ANALGESIA, PROGRESS OF LABOUR, MODE OF DELIVERY and COMPLICATIONS. Material and methods : A prospective study of 200 gravida women (100 in each group) in labour at SRMC AND RI fulfilling following CRITERIA-Patients opting for painless labour, Single fetus, Cephalic presentation, Cervix dilation -3 cm, Age between 20-35 yrs, Low risk pregnancy, Gestational age >37 weeks. Method : Pre load both groups with IV fluids. Labour pain scored prior to epidural.
