Objective(s) - To study the caesarian section (CS) delivery rates and indications in Tertiary Care Centre, Jaipur. Method(s) : A retrospective hospital based study conducted in 1000 caesarian section for the period of January 2004 to December 2005 through manual medical record review in Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Zenana Hospital, SMS Medical College, Jaipur. Result(s) : During the study period out of 3410 total deliveries, 1000 caesarian section was studied, incidence of caesarian section was 29.32%.
