From the abstract

Introduction : Before 1970 the phrase "Once caesarean section always a caesarean" dictated obstetric practice. Later because of escalating rates of caesarean section suggestions were made that vaginal birth after caesarean section (VBAC) might help in reducing the rates of caesarean section. So trial of labour in cases of previous caesarean section has been accepted as a way to reduce the over all caesarean section rates. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES 1.To assess the Incidence of vaginal delivery in patients with prior one caesarean section in our institute. 2.To assess maternal and perinatal outcome in patients undergoing VBAC trial. 3.To assess causes of termination of VBAC trial.
