Introduction : To evaluate the influence of genetic polymorphism of GSTM 1 and GSTT 1 deletions which promole the development of cen'ical dysplasia by moderating tlie activation mid delo.xificalion of polycyclic hydrocarbons and oilier compounds that influence oxidative s(ress and DNA adduci formation. Method -blood sample 61 women with biopsy confirmed and 102 cyt1ological normal controls were analyzed by multiplex polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the presence or absence of GSTM I and GSTT I in genomic DNA isolated from case and control.
