Objective : To asses the efficacy of combined PGE2 intracervical gel and drotaverine combination in comparison to oxytocin with artificial rupture of membranes on primigravidas for augmentation of labour. Methods : Patients were divided into two groups of 50 each. Patients at term pregnancy who were in early labour and had less than 04 cm dilatation were included. Patients with multiple pregnancies or malpresentation were excluded the control group was managed with artificial rupture of membranes and oxytocin drip augmentation and the test group was managed with ARM and cerviprime gel and drotaverine intravenous injections for augmentation of labour.
