Aims And Objectives : To study the incidence of post parta) hemorrhage. . To study the factors affecting the postpartal hemorrhage. To study the maternal and perinatal outcome Material And Methods A Retrospective study was performed in Gynecology department of CAMA Hospital GMC Mumbai from Jan 2007-Dec 2007.Parameters analysed were age .parity ,socio economic status,antenatal booking status,mode of delivery,complicatioii and maternal & perinatal outcome. Results During I yr 2450 deliveries were performed . A total of 450 cases of caesarian section. 145 ( 5 % ) had PPH ,3.5% vaginal deliveries and 10% of caesarian section had PPH . And 2.1 % belonging to more than para 4 .
