Assessing the suitability of a region for crop production requires a considerable effort in terms of information collection that presents both opportunities and limitations to decision-makers. By selecting crops based on the region’s dominant conditions such as cropping pattern, and maximizing the productivity and efficiency of water and soil resources, the damage to resources of the region may be reduced to a minimum in the long run. Thus, the necessity of accurate scheduling on the basis of capacities, restrictions and limitations of resources is clear. With planning and optimum allocation of production parameter, it is possible to increase production efficiency.
