From the abstract

Airway catastrophies head the list of mortality & morbidity in the field of Anaesthesia. Securing a safe airway has always been of utmost concern to all anaesthesiologists. Amongst all cases, maxillofacial injuries always pose a challenge requiring expertise in airway management techniques. We present a case of Lefort I, II, & III type of Maxillo- facial injury which was about 12 days old when he came for anaesthesia, where routine oral & nasal, fiberoptic intubation, either blind or awake was not possible.
