Aim: The changing trend in the prevalence of GDM in rural india even though Diabetes is termed as life style disease. Materials and methods: It is a retrospective Study done in Herbertpur Christian Hospital ,Herbertpur, Dehradun during a period of two years from August 2006 to August 2008. case sheets of patients with GDM, impaired GCT with risk factors , who presented to our hospital were analysed on the basis of epidemiological characteristics, associated complications , mode of delivery and perinatal outcome.
