Objectives : To evaluate the incidence of twin gestation 1.Antenatal complications , maternal mortality and morbidity 2.Effect of chorionicity on neonatal outcome 3.To asses the fetal outcome in relation to mode of delivery Materials & Methods : This is a retrospective analysis of 81 twin gestations occurring over a period of 3 years from August 2005 to August 2008 . Results : 1.Incidence of twin pregnancy was 12 per 1000 deliveries(81 twins in 6549 deliveries) in 3 years. Amongst the ANC complications most common was anemia followed by pre eclampsia, PROM, malpresentation & APH. 2.Incidence of PPH was low as compared to other studies 3.Most of the cases had LBW babies .
