AIM: To evaluate the low acceptance rate and lack of awareness of IUCD in an urban set up of a tertiary centre Setting: Govt. Maternity Hospital, Sultan Bazaar, Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, AP. Type Of Study : Prospective Study Methodology : All eligible women for temporary contraception are included in the study. They were counseled for IUCD. Their acceptance, refusal and reasons for it are noted. Those cases who accepted IUCD insertion are followed up for two years.
