A G3P1L1 with full term pregnancy with PIH with a 1 Ix 7 on fibroid in the lower segment was admitted for induction. Patient delivered uneventfully b'dt had PEH which could not be controlled by medical management and balloon tamponade. On P/V examination: the fibroid was felt above the internal os. The patient was then refetred for arterial embolisation She responded to the procedure and had a subsequent uneventful puerperium.
