Torsion of fallopian tube is a rare gynaecological cause of acute abdomen. We report a 14 year old unmarried girl who presented with acute lower abdominal pain. Sonography showed a cystic right ovarian mass with mixed echogenicity. Hence laparoscopy was performed with suspicion of adnexal torsion, which revealed edematous and twisted right fallopian tube which appeared gangrenous. Hence right salphingectomy was done and diagnosis was confirmed with histopathology.
