Background : True Hermaphrodite, a rare entity with social stigma and psychological implications, has both ovarian and testicular tissue. It can be a single gonad ovotestis or, on one side ovary and the other side testis. One such case is presented here. Case : A 17 year old female was admitted with history of primary amenorrhea along with cyclical lower abdominal p.im and sexual ambiguity for last one year. She was phenotypically and psychologically female. On examination ihorc was clitoromegaly with an opening between clitoris and anus, bilateral midline labial fusion and an ovoid ::Uuauie in left inguinal region. Serum testosterone level was very high (51ng/dl).
